يعتبر محمد الطاهر الفرقاني من عمالقة المالوف في الجزائر وبالتحديد في مدينة قسنطينة
وله أعمال كثيرة من أجملها قصيدة صالح باي، التي تتحدث عنه وعن حادثة مقتله الأليمة
