Dear brother Dawood
I will listen to it when I get home. There is of course a good chance that these are descendents of Iraqi Jews born and raised in occupied Palestine, hence the Palestinian accent. I have a recording of one Eman whose accent is pure Shami but sings old Iraqi songs of Zakiya George and Salima Murad. In the past I raised this issue in order to add these songs to this lovely forum but it is against the policy of the Muntada. I respect this but I still argue that we should look at it as part of our extended Iraqi culture that goes beyond the Iraq's political borders
