I also gather that her concert in Damascus was her last one as there is no record she sang there in the 1960s. What a loss!!! I believe her concerts in Damascus were among her best. I believe she stopped singing there for political reasons, due to the separation of Syria from the United Arab Republic. Nowadays, some politicians are trying to convince Fairuz not to perform her play "Sa7 ennaoum" in Damascus. I wish politicians would leave the artists alone and not let a whole nation be deprived of the beauty of art.
